2) Abdel Baset Ali-Megrahi, one of the suspects indicted for the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, is believed to be in Libya. The Libyan Government, against which the United Nations has invoked resolutions and sanctions, has been unwilling to turn Al -Megrahi over to the United Kingdom or United States for trial.

The United States Department of State and the U.S. airline industry are offering a reward of up to $ 4,000,000 for information leading to the apprehension and prosecution of Al-Megrahi. The U.S. Government can also provide for the protection of identity and the possibility of relocation for persons and their families furnishing such information.
